The Operating Environment of Vertical High-Pressure Steam Sterilizer Autoclave

Table of Content [Hide]

    What is a Vertical High-Pressure Steam Sterilizer Autoclave?

    A vertical high-pressure steam sterilizer autoclave uses saturated steam to act on microorganisms on the load, causing denaturation of microbial proteins, leading to the death of microorganisms, thus achieving sterilization. It is suitable for sterilizing media, medical instruments, glassware and containers, waste, and other items. It is widely used in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food, inspection and testing, quarantine inspection, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fisheries, environmental protection, scientific research, and other fields.

    Working Principle of a Vertical High-Pressure Steam Sterilizer Autoclave

    The vertical high-pressure steam sterilizer autoclave is designed based on the principle of moist heat killing microorganisms. It uses an immersion type electric heater installed inside a sealed container to heat the medium water, generating high-pressure saturated steam. This heat causes damage to the cell walls and cell membranes and acts on nucleic acids, denaturing and coagulating microbial proteins, leading to their death, thereby achieving sterilization.

    Usage Environment of a Vertical High-Pressure Steam Sterilizer Autoclave

    Environmental Conditions

    • For indoor use only, must not be installed outdoors;

    • Environmental temperature 5℃~40℃;

    • Environmental humidity ≤80% under different temperature conditions;

    • Atmospheric pressure: 70kPa ~ 106kPa;

    • Power supply voltage AC 220V ±22V, 50Hz ±1Hz, fluctuation not exceeding ±10%.

    Placement Location

    • The sterilizer must be kept away from direct sunlight and should not be installed in a damp or dusty environment;

    • It should be placed on a flat, hard cement floor, with a floor load capacity of over 200kg and enough space around;

    • The distance between the sterilizer and surrounding walls or other equipment should be maintained at 10 cm ~ 20 cm or more;

    • It should have a fixed water supply end for easy water supply; a fixed drain for easy drainage (drainage pipes and systems should not be close to power lines and sockets);

    • If there are additional biosafety requirements for discharged water, a separate drainage system should be installed.
